During the past 2 or 3 years I have been very fortunate to become an apprentice to Luthier Ric McCurdy in Manhattan. The tips and info I have learned go way beyond what you find in books. I have had the opportunity to play, examine and repair a large number of the world's greatest guitars. Also, it's rare to find an "apprentice" situation in today's world, and because of that it has been an exceptionally valuable experience.
